Seong Jin-Cho, reviewed earlier, has advanced to the 3rd round in the 17th Fryderyk Chopin International Piano Competition in Poland. Good luck to all of the competitors. Unfortunately, I have not been following this competition as I did the Tchaikovsky competition this summer. George Li, who was very impressive as a co-second prize winner in the Tchaikovsky competition, is not in the 3rd round. The twenty performers and their performances will be on medici.tv, live on October 18. Maybe I can see some of this final round.
